Astrophotography Special Interest Group

Formed out of a need to learn, share and grow, our "Astro SIG" group is a fun & diverse group of astronomy enthusiasts. Our group encompases a HUGE variety of experience and interest level so don't be afraid to dip a toe in the water and join us. We meet on Zoom once a month and try to get out in the field together once a month. Usually at Big Cypress National Park, but because that involves some travel and hauling your gear down there, our group is picky about having perfect weather conditions. But, the trip is worth it!

Learn & Share It All

One of the best things about our Astro SIG group is our "Rabbit Hole" discussions where we "go down the rabbit hole" to discuss some of the most simple or intricate parts of astrophotography. And, most members are always willing to help another, even going as far as meeting in person to help diagnose a problem or share what they've learned. Here's a simple and affordable setup from Phil Jansen.
